Increased Stopping Power
By putting almost 13 square inches additional friction material in contact with the drum surface, trucks equipped with Express Brakes™ are safer and stop faster.
Independent testing by Radlinski and Associates verified stops an average of 9% shorter from 60 mph at 75 psi comparing riveted brakes to Express Brakes™, both configured with Abex 685 linings.
Extended Lining and Drum Life
Putting more material in contact with brake drum surfaces also dissipates heat more quickly and uniformly. Drums run cooler and last longer, an average of 2 to 3 times longer as observed in countless brake trial programs and customer testimonials. With the rising cost of brake drums, extending drum life is a huge cost saving potential. Lining life increases an average of 30 - 50% in brake trials. Increased lining life means trucks on the road more and in the shop less.

Due to the patented quick-change feature, brake linings can be changed right on the wheel-end. This is possible because Express Brake™ shoes have a unique system for removing and reinstalling new linings. 304 Grade Stainless tables and beefed up shoe construction eliminate the need for re-conditioning the shoes. Cores stay with your vehicles, eliminating the hassles of handling, storing, or accounting for brake cores.
Stops Rust Jacking
With road salts and harsh chemicals, rust jacking is a major culprit in premature lining failure. The Express Brake™ utilizes a stainless table to eliminate damaging corrosion, that causes swelling and cracked linings. With Express Brake™, rust jacking is a thing of the past.
Reduces Brake Noise
